How to Buy and Read/Listen

  •  
  • Buy:
    • Desktop:
      1. Choose the eBook or digital audiobook you want to purchase 
      2. Select Buy
      3. Sign in or create a Walmart.com account
      4. You will be re-directed to the Walmart eBooks site. Checkout with be through this site
      5. Install Walmart eBooks app to read/listen or read on your Kobo eReader device
      6. eBooks will auto sync to the device or app once purchased; audiobooks will sync to the app once purchased
         
    • Walmart eBooks App:
      1. Go to the App Store or Google Play
      2. Download Walmart eBooks app
      3. Create a free account or sign in
      4. Once purchased, books will auto Sync to the app
        **Apple users must purchase on a desktop. Books will auto sync to the app once purchased. Android users can purchase directly in the app**
         
  • Read/Listen:
    • App:
      1. Go to the App Store or Google Play
      2. Download Walmart eBooks app
      3. Create a free account or sign in
      4. Open Walmart eBooks app

eBook/Audiobook:
  • Do eBook or audiobooks use my data plan?
    Downloading does, listening to the book once it is downloaded does not
     
  • I can't buy on my apple device
    If using an IOS apple device, eBooks and audiobooks must be purchased through a desktop computer. If using android, ebook and audiobooks can be purchased through your mobile device
     
  • I can't find the eBook or audiobook I just purchased
    • In App - when purchasing an eBooks or audiobook,the book will need to sync with the Walmart eBooks App to see it. Internet connection/WiFi is needed for this. After the sync is complete, the eBook or audiobook will appear on the app’s home screen under "Recently Added"

Walmart eBooks Account and App:
  • How do I link my Kobo, Facebook, Google or Rakuten accounts?
    Open Walmart eBooks app or the website here, sign in and select My Account. 
     
  • I cant sign in:
    • Verify that you entered the correct password. The password is case-sensitive
    • Verify that you entered the correct email address associated with your Walmart eBooks account
    • If you still cannot sign in, you can reset your Walmart eBooks account password
       
  • How to change password, email address, payment method, phone number, address:
    • Go to Walmart.com
    • Select Account and sign in
    • Select Forgot password
       
  • Syncing your Walmart eBooks App for Android:
    • Select the Walmart eBooks App icon to open the app
    • From the Home screen, tap the actions icon
    • Select Sync
       
  • Syncing your Walmart eBooks App for iOS:
    • Select the Walmart eBooks App icon to open the app
    • From the Home screen, select the sync icon at the top of the screen

eReader Device:
  • I cant listen to my audiobook on eReader 
    eReaders do not support audiobooks
     
  • eReader is frozen or not responding:
    • Charge eReader for one hour – plug the USB cable into eReader, and the other end into computer to charge eReader. Computer must be turned on to charge eReader
    • Turn eReader off, then back on – hold the power button down until eReader turns off. The words “Powered Off” will show at the top of the screen when your eReader shuts down. Press the power button again to turn eReader back on
    • If these steps don't work, contact Walmart eBooks Customer Care
       
  • Syncing eReader:
    • Before you start, make sure you have access to a WiFi connection
    • Go to your Home screen
    • Select the Sync icon at the top of the screen
    • Select Sync Now
      • If you are within range of a known WiFi network, your eReader automatically joins that network and will begin syncing
      • If you are not within range of a known WiFi network, your eReader will begin the Adding a Network process

Audiobook Subscription:
  • Cancel subscription
    Can be canceled at any time without restrictions. To cancel subscription, sign in here and select My Account. Then, select My Subscriptions to cancel
     
  • What happens to my books and credits after cancellation?
    You can keep already purchased books. Credits unused at time of cancellation will be good for six months after cancellation date
