Eligibility for Home Delivery

Home delivery of medications provided by Walmart Pharmacy Home Delivery is available to all our customers. It is particularly convenient and cost-effective for:

  • Patients who are prescribed maintenance medications
  • Patients who receive 90-day supplies of a prescription
  • Self-pay customers

Also, if you're currently covered under an insurance plan, you may be eligible to take advantage of additional savings provided by using the Walmart Pharmacy Home Delivery.

Important note: Some insurance plans restrict coverage for home delivery, even when the same prescription is covered for in-store pickup. Denial of coverage may result in a delay of 5 to 7 business days. Providers that may restrict coverage include:

  • Aetna Pharmacy Management
  • Caremark
  • Express Scripts
  • MedcoHealth
  • Medicaid
  • PAID prescription plans

Please call your insurance company to verify coverage for your specific plan.

Delivery restrictions: Due to Federal regulations, we can only ship to addresses within the U.S., and some medications are not eligible for home delivery.

Delivery Times for Prescriptions

Your medication will be delivered to you, postage paid, usually via U.S. First Class Mail, within 7-10 business days.

Prescriptions can be shipped by an expedited service for an additional fee. Some medications, such as those requiring refrigeration, are delivered sooner.

Emergency Situations

There may be times when you need a prescription immediately. In those instances, you should get the prescription filled at your local Walmart Pharmacy or another local pharmacy.
